Claude Design can export standalone HTML or ZIP files. Upload the finished export to HTMLShare and get a clean browser link for clients, teammates, or stakeholder review. HTMLShare is not a Claude Design replacement and not a full production deployment.
Create in Claude Design → export as standalone HTML or ZIP → upload to HTMLShare → open the preview URL → share.
Finish the landing page, prototype, one-pager, or presentation until the canvas version is the one you want to share. Claude Design is in beta on Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans.
Open Export in the upper-right corner. Choose Export as standalone HTML or Download as .zip. Skip PDF, PPTX, and Canva for this workflow.
Sign in for a 5 MB HTML file or 20 MB project. Guest uploads are 1 MB HTML and 3 MB ZIP. Put index.html at the project root.
Check images, CSS, JavaScript, animations, and mobile width before anyone else sees the link.
Send the browser URL for client review, a one-off demo, or a stakeholder handoff. Recipients do not need a Claude account.
Anthropic’s help center, updated August 6, 2026, lists Download as .zip, PDF, PPTX, Canva, standalone HTML, send-to destinations such as Vercel, Lovable, Replit, and Wix, plus handoff to Claude Code. For HTMLShare, use the standalone HTML or ZIP export.
Standalone HTML
Yes
Best when the page is one self-contained file under 5 MB.
Download as .zip
Yes, if static
Use this when CSS, JavaScript, images, and fonts are separate files. index.html must sit at the ZIP root.
PDF / PPTX / Canva
No
Keep those formats in Claude Design or a document host.
Send to Vercel, Wix, Replit, Lovable
Different job
Those destinations are for building or deploying the project, not a lightweight preview.
Handoff to Claude Code
After you export static files
Use Claude Code when the design should become a codebase. Use HTMLShare for the current static snapshot.
Guest uploads: 1 MB HTML, 3 MB ZIP. Signed-in projects: 5 MB for one HTML file, 20 MB for the whole project.
You can publish Claude Design HTML and upload a Claude Design ZIP without a repository, Vercel project, or CLI. That is the right path when you need a prototype link, not a production release.
Vercel deploys the project. HTMLShare shares the exported design. Vercel’s Claude Design + Drop guide is a production-oriented drag-and-drop deploy: the ZIP becomes a Vercel project with a live production URL, framework detection, and a later Git connection if you want one. HTMLShare stays a static preview.

Org share link
Not the job
Claude Design can share view, comment, or edit access inside the organization.
External client review
Export first
Standalone preview URL
HTMLShare shows the static snapshot without the Claude Design canvas.
Temporary prototype link
Possible via export
Best fit
A replaceable noindex preview is enough for an early handoff.
No GitHub
Export the files
Upload HTML or ZIP
Neither step requires a repository.
Live production URL on Vercel
Send to Vercel / Drop
Not enough
Vercel Drop creates a Vercel project. HTMLShare does not.

Handoff to Claude Code
Poor fit
Static HTML can look interactive. It still cannot run a backend.
Claude Design → export HTML or ZIP → HTMLShare → external browser link. Use this for a client, stakeholder, freelancer, agency, or reviewer who should not join the Claude workspace.
Choose the canvas version you want signed off. Later Design edits will not change an already uploaded preview unless you replace the files.
The recipient does not need Claude, Git, or a local folder. Ask one focused question: copy, layout, flow, or mobile.
HTMLShare preview links are noindex. That is not a password, expiry gate, or workspace permission. Guest previews currently expire after one hour.
Claude Design can generate designs, interactive prototypes, and presentations. A standalone HTML export can keep layout, CSS, JavaScript interactions, animations, and links. It cannot keep a backend, database, or server auth.
Export the finished page and send a browser link for copy, layout, and responsive review.
Host the static prototype so stakeholders can click the flow without a Claude workspace.
Share the current interaction as a URL, then upload a new export when the next version is ready.
If the export is standalone HTML, it can run as a page. PPTX still belongs in Claude Design or a slide tool.
Claude Design HTML comes from the Claude Design product Export menu. A Claude Artifact comes from Claude or Claude Code. Both may look like a webpage. They are different products, different export steps, and different search queries. Keep those pages separate so one does not cannibalize the other.
You built the work at claude.ai/design, then exported standalone HTML or a ZIP.
If the page still lives in an Artifact viewer, start with Claude Artifact vs HTMLShare or share Claude Code HTML.
Vercel Drop can prompt you to pick a homepage when the ZIP has no index.html at the top of the folder. HTMLShare cannot. Signed-in uploads require index.html at the project root. Guest uploads also accept index.html inside one enclosing folder.
index.html styles.css script.js assets/ hero.png logo.svg about.html
Extra HTML pages are fine as additional files with relative links. If Claude Design nested the site two folders deep, flatten it before upload. If there is still no index.html, rename the intended homepage rather than expecting HTMLShare to guess.
The page probably references files that were not uploaded, or uses computer-absolute paths. Package the full folder as a ZIP with relative paths.
Share HTML with assetsSigned-in HTMLShare requires index.html at the project root. Guest uploads also accept one enclosing folder. Flatten extra directories before upload.
Preview index.html onlineVercel Drop can ask which page should be the site root. HTMLShare does not. Rename or move the homepage to index.html at the ZIP root, or keep extra pages as additional HTML files with relative links.
Keep stylesheets, images, and fonts next to the HTML with the same relative paths Claude Design generated.
Images not showing in HTMLUpload the script files, avoid file:// links, and confirm the export is static browser code rather than a server app.
JavaScript not workingCanvas-only features, live design-system sync, and Claude chat context do not travel with the file. Re-export standalone HTML or ZIP after the canvas version is complete.
Fonts, CDNs, or images loaded from another origin can fail on a new host. Inline small assets or include the files in the ZIP.
Guest previews currently last one hour. Signed-in projects follow the plan’s retention rules. HTMLShare noindex is not password protection; do not treat a preview URL as confidential access control.

Finish the design in Claude Design, use Export to download standalone HTML or a ZIP, upload that static output to HTMLShare, then send the preview URL. Recipients open a normal browser link and do not need Claude.
You can publish a static snapshot as a preview URL. That is not the same as a production website with a custom domain, CMS, or backend. For production, Anthropic also supports sending the export to Vercel, Wix, Replit, and similar destinations.
Yes. Anthropic’s August 6, 2026 help article lists Export as standalone HTML among the Export options in the upper-right corner of a Claude Design project.
Yes. The same Export menu includes Download as .zip. For HTMLShare, the ZIP must be static files with index.html at the project root.
Export standalone HTML or ZIP, keep relative asset paths, upload the files, and copy the generated HTTPS preview link. That is a file-to-URL step, not a custom-domain launch.
Yes, once you have a portable HTML or ZIP export. Claude Design can also share a project link inside your organization with view, comment, or edit access. HTMLShare is for people who should open the rendered page without a Claude workspace.
No. Vercel Drop is a production-oriented path: drag the ZIP into vercel.com/drop and get a Vercel deployment. HTMLShare is for a static preview without creating a Vercel project.
Yes. HTMLShare publishes from an HTML file or ZIP upload. You do not need a repository, GitHub Pages, or CI for a review link.
Yes, if the ZIP is static and contains index.html at the project root. Guest uploads are 3 MB. Signed-in projects accept up to 20 MB total, with a single HTML file capped at 5 MB. HTMLShare does not ask you to pick a homepage the way Vercel Drop does.
Yes, when the prototype is static HTML. Layout, CSS, JavaScript interactions, animations, and links can survive the export. Backend, database, server auth, and server APIs need a real application host.
The standalone HTML and ZIP website files are ordinary front-end files you can open in a browser. Treat HTMLShare as a static preview host, not an application runtime.
No. Claude Design is a separate beta product for designs, interactive prototypes, and presentations, with its own Export menu. A Claude Artifact comes from the Claude or Claude Code Artifact workflow. Both can end up as a webpage, but they are different search entities and different export paths.
Upload the static files, keep index.html at the root, stay under HTMLShare's 5 MB HTML and 20 MB project limits, and send a browser URL for review.
