Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

Host HTML File hosts static HTML files and preview links at hosthtmlfile.com. This policy explains what information we handle when you use the site, publish a file, sign in, or pay for a plan.

Account information

Sign-in uses Google through our authentication provider. We store the email address, name, and profile image Google provides, plus your plan and last sign-in time. If you subscribe, we also store a Stripe customer identifier. The Host HTML File CLI and Skill use that same signed-in session.

Files and project data

When you publish, we store the HTML, ZIP contents, and static assets needed to serve the preview, along with the project name, file paths, sizes, and publish status. A preview published without an account stays online for 1 hour. Signed-in projects follow the retention shown on the pricing page: 1 day on Free, 30 days on Pro, and ongoing retention on Max.

Max projects can store one JSON document, up to 64 KB, at /__hosthtmlfile/state. Max projects on preview.hosthtmlfile.com can also store one account-level JSON document at /__hosthtmlfile/user-state. These documents are not a private database. Anyone with the preview link can read and change the project JSON.

Preview links are not private

A preview is meant to be opened by anyone who has the link. That includes links on preview.hosthtmlfile.com, preview.hosthtmlfile.com, and a connected Lanvo subdomain such as your-label.lanvo.app. noindex asks search engines not to list the page. It does not hide the page from people who have the URL. Do not put passwords, customer data, or other confidential material in a preview.

Payments

Paid plans are billed by Stripe. We store your plan, subscription status, and billing period. Stripe collects and stores card numbers. Host HTML File does not.

Messages you send us

The feedback form includes your message, the type you choose, and an email address if you enter one. It also sends the page URL, referrer, browser, language, time zone, and screen size so we can reproduce a problem. An abuse report stores the preview URL, a reason, and an optional description.

Usage and abuse prevention

We record which project and path was opened so the project owner can see a view count. Guest publishing sets a cookie named hosthtmlfile_guest for up to 48 hours so you can manage that temporary preview. We keep a hash of the visitor IP address so each network can create one guest preview, and we do not store the raw IP address for that limit. Cloudflare Turnstile runs on guest publishing to reduce automated abuse.

We may scan an upload for known phishing, malware, and other prohibited patterns, and we may refuse or remove a preview that matches.

After a preview is published, we may send its entry page to an external model service to review it for abuse.

Site analytics and cookies

  • Google Analytics may record page views on the marketing site, including the page path and title.
  • Dismissing a pricing offer sets a cookie named hosthtmlfile_promotion_dismissed for up to one year.
  • Signing in uses session cookies from our authentication provider.
  • Guest publishing uses the hosthtmlfile_guest cookie described above.

Service providers

Google handles sign-in and, when enabled, analytics. Supabase stores accounts and application data. Stripe processes payments. Cloudflare stores published files, delivers previews, and provides Turnstile. A Lanvo subdomain is an address for a project you connect. These providers process information under their own terms.

How long we keep information

Guest preview files are removed when the one-hour link expires or when you delete that preview. Signed-in project files are removed when the project expires, when you delete the project, or when we remove it for abuse. Account information stays until you ask us to delete the account or we close it. Billing records may be kept for as long as we need them for tax, accounting, and dispute handling. Abuse-review records may be kept after that preview is removed. A record contains the decision, a short reason, a short text excerpt, a content hash, the publisher, and the preview link.

Your choices

You can delete a project from the dashboard, and you can delete an active guest preview from the page that published it. To ask us to delete your account or other personal information, email support@hosthtmlfile.com. You can also sign out and control analytics cookies in your browser.

Children

Host HTML File is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We post updates on this page and change the date above. If you keep using Host HTML File after an update, you accept the revised policy. The Terms of Service explain the rules for using the product.
